India Republic Day Event

The Indian Embassy in Bucharest recently organised an official reception at the Marriott Hotel to mark the 74th Republic Day of India. The event was attended by a large number of dignitaries, including the Indian Ambassador to Romania, senior diplomats, and members of the Indian community living in Romania. Members of TAKT Group team were present at the event.

The evening began with the national anthems of India and Romania, followed by a speech from the Ambassador of India to Romania, H.E. Mr. Rahul Shrivastava, who highlighted the strong and friendly ties between India and Romania and spoke about the rich cultural heritage of India and how it continues to inspire people around the world.

The event saw discussions about the important contribution of Indian workers to the Romanian economy. It was highlighted that foreign manpower recruited from India are making their mark in various industries across the country and are working hard to make a positive impact, especially in the construction sector, with a dedicated hard working workforce.

The highlight of the evening was a cultural program that showcased the diverse and vibrant culture of India. The program included classical dance performances, music, and a fashion show that showcased the traditional Indian attire. The audience was thoroughly entertained and appreciated the effort put into the program.

A dinner was also organised, where guests were treated to a variety of Indian delicacies, including vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. The guests relished the food and praised the chefs for their culinary skills.

The Indian Embassy in Bucharest organised the reception to celebrate India’s Republic Day and to spread awareness about India’s rich cultural heritage.
